State Enabling Environments for Creative Placemaking

NACEDA supported research by community development and arts partners in Minnesota, New Jersey, and Texas, thanks to funding from the National Endowment for the Arts. The partners explored how their states can create ecosystems that nurture equitable creative placemaking. The resulting NACEDA report, State Enabling Environments for Creative Placemaking, contains actionable goals for influencing public policy, grant-making, investment, and capacity building at the state level. View the report.

The report's recommendations are based on the work of three partnerships:
  • Minnesota report: Metropolitan Consortium of Community Developers + Springboard for the Arts

  • New Jersey report: Housing & Community Development Network of New Jersey + ArtPride New Jersey

  • Texas report: Texas Association of Community Development Corporations + Texans for the Arts
