Maggie headshotMaggie Kentilitisca, Program Coordinator

Maggie joined NACEDA in July of 2021 as the Thriving Networks VISTA. In her role as a VISTA, Maggie worked to develop peer-to-peer capacity-building opportunities, support existing projects, implement applications to improve virtual learning systems and build and systematize the administrative processes for NACEDA events. She also helped to develop and implement NACEDA’s new Technical Assistance Program, which she will continue to support as a Program Coordinator. Her primary responsibility will be to provide project-based and organizational capacity-building services for community-based development organizations.

Having immigrated to New Mexico from the Philippines at a young age, Maggie is deeply committed to serving minority communities and giving voice to underrepresented groups. While an undergraduate, she studied International Relations at the University of New Mexico, where she studied abroad in the Middle East and learned Arabic. In return, she used her skills to serve refugee populations in Albuquerque, NM, and work with nonprofit organizations to support the financial independence of immigrant women. Maggie proudly served AmeriCorps twice; her first was as a Public Ally at Lutheran Family Services Refugee & Asylee Programs. She is currently working towards a Master’s degree in International Development at the American University School of International Service to continue a lifelong career in public service.
