Josh Bloom, Systems Change VISTA

Josh joined NACEDA in July 2022 as a Systems Change VISTA with Americorps. His work focuses on expanding NACEDA's communications with community development nonprofits across the country to help increase their access to resources and capacity-building opportunities. Josh is passionate about the intersection of economic development, public policy, and community building.

Previously Josh worked in leadership development and community organizing with Los Angeles youth in support of efforts to end California's burdensome restrictions on returning citizens, as well as efforts to reform immigrant detention. Josh also worked with Los Angeles City Council District 4 to boost participation in programs that help constituents switch to energy-efficient power and water sources. Most recently he spent the summer with the Philadelphia Association of Community Development Corporations as their Summer Programs Intern. He is a graduate of Wesleyan University.
